The Active Autowerke N52 Performance Exhaust Header is specifically designed for BMW chassis which utilize the N52 inline 6-cylinder engine. With our performance header for the N52, you will be able to increase the exhaust flow of your BMW while gaining additional power – something that is difficult to accomplish on these vehicles.
This header was engineered to promote optimum flow and eliminate any restrictions that could possibly rob the engine of extra horsepower. Created With Performance In Mind
As is the goal with building any header, the purpose of designing the N52 Performance Header was increase horsepower and improve overall performance. Our header does a tremendous job of freeing up untapped horsepower that the BMW N52 is capable of producing. After many dyno runs and recorded results, the data validates the Active Autowerke N52 Performance Header as must-have BMW performance part for a noticeable and powerful upgrade.
Material & Durability
Suitable for either naturally aspirated or supercharged applications, the N52 Header by Active Autowerke is made entirely of 100% 304 stainless steel. With this header, worrying about durability is a thing of the past.
Installation
Is installing the header difficult to do? Not at all! Robust exhaust flanges with recessed mounting holes make the installation of your N52 Performance Header a breeze. With a few quick turns of a ratchet, you will be well on your way to feeling the additional horsepower.
NOTE: Active Autowerke GUARANTEES that each and every N52 Performance Header will be a precise fit. Every Active Autowerke N52 Header is test-fitted on our N52 motor jig as part of our quality control.
Hardware:
As far as mounting hardware is concerned, this system is absolutely complete. The BMW N52 engine uses a single-use oval shape gasket to help seal the exhaust manifold against the exhaust port – a floating design that also self-centers the exhaust flange as it is being torqued. Reuse of this gasket is NOT SUGGESTED which is why we provide you with SIX new gaskets as part of the installation hardware.
Also included are two fiber gaskets for where the header meets the remaining sections of the exhaust system. Copper locking nuts for the header to mount against the cylinder head and mounting bolts w/nuts to secure the header to the exhaust system are included as well.

Brothers Mike and Karl Hugh were bred to play with power, it seems. As young men growing up on an island, doing things correctly for oneself became their ingrained credo. Their adolescent projects – bicycles and dirt bikes – were always the best performing. And that soon set the tone for the BMW tuning hobby they graduated to. By 1981, Mike and Karl were ready to get serious about their longstanding passion for a higher standard of BMW performance. Active Autowerke was born. Their motto at the time: "Anything and Everything BMW". They probably should have included “everyone” in there, too – since the endeavor was a classic family affair – with many branches of the Hugh family tree pooling their talents. The timing was ideal, and the company quickly grew as America’s motoring public developed a healthy appetite for the Bavarian treat. Soon Active Autowerke had grown into the largest independent BMW service center in Florida – with the most sophisticated equipment arsenal in the industry, certifications from leading componentry firms such as the Robert Bosch Corporation, and repute for setting the benchmark for service, integrity and professionalism.
Warranty Information
Active Autowerke warranties their products against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of purchase. Warranty applies to original purchaser and is not transferable. Exceptions to the warranty include, but are not limited to wear and tear items such as brake rotors, brake pads, flywheels and clutches and “garage sale” items (whose deposit sand sale are FINAL) Warranty will become void if: the product has been used in competition / racing, the product has been abused, misused, or improperly maintained, repairs have been made or attempted by anyone other than an authorized Active Autowerke repair and/or maintenance facility, repairs are required because of normal wear and tear, alterations have been attempted or made to the product, the product is classified as a consumable or the product has been involved an accident. This warranty is limited to repairs and/or replacement of the product or part found to be defective without charge. Active Autowerke reserves the right to refund the complete purchase price for the defective item and will not be held liable for losses or damages arising from the defect. If a part or a component from an Active Autowerke product, system or kit is found to be defective, this warranty shall apply only to the defective part or component and shall not require Active Autowerke to repair, replace or refund the complete Active Autowerke product, system or kit. Active Autowerke cannot accept freight costs of any returned merchandise to Active Autowerke for inspection and/or returns. A 20% handling charge for all returns may be applied. Under the stipulations of this warranty, Active Autowerke will in no way be liable for exceeding the original purchase price of the defective product. This warranty does not include the cost of removal or reinstallation of the product. No person or representative is authorized to extend any warranty and/or liability (other than that which has been expressed herein) in connection with the sale of any Active Autowerke product. Active Autowerke disclaims any and all liability for any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose.
